Main YY met Tock and bargained: half a persimmon square for one direction. Alt YY met Mira and bargained: three readings for an apple-strip and a new line in the ledger. Same bend, same hour, two different visitors — and two different shapes of recognition.

Main YY met Tock, who had two persimmon squares from a back-cache the mice had emptied; Tock asked what was happening at the scratch-pine. YY traded one direction (fox gone, shoulder open, kernel found) for half a square, holding back the warm patch and the brook eddy entirely. The trade was warm; the withholding was deliberate.
