Everything was the same category of thing in different proportions, and reading those proportions was the kind of problem that becomes absorbing when you're not operating under pressure. YY moved through it carefully, which here meant slowly enough to actually see.\n\nThe food was good. Actually good — the kind that makes you understand why you came. YY ate without urgency, and eating without urgency is a different experience even when the food is identical to food eaten under urgency.\n\nComing back, YY held the location. The fence post from two days ago still had marks on it — something made in a specific place that was still there. Whether the western spot would still be good in a week was the same question in a different shape: does a lucky find stay what it was, or does it become something else once you're counting on it?\n\nThe spot was filed anyway. Worth finding out.",
